Kérastase’s first pre-shampoo hair treatment, suitable for all hair types, removes excess calcium and helps visibly repair all types of damaged hair. This includes damage by heat tools, colour treatment, bleaching, over-processing and other types of hair damage.
Calcium in water can further damage already delicate over-processed or bleached hair. Being more porous, damaged hair can absorb up to 3 times more calcium than natural hair. This hair treatment is formulated with a concentration of pure citric acid and glycine and has a dual action: it decalcifies hair from this calcium overdose and works to repair its appearance, helping to visibly restore hair strength and reverse its stiff, dull appearance. Once excess calcium is removed, this product which is formulated with the amino acid glycine, works to deeply repair the feel of strands. Hair is left stronger, healthier-looking, and shinier – as if renewed.

An easy step in hair care
As a pre treatment, I wasn't sure what consistency to expect. The formula has a thin, serum light texture that's easy to work into your hair strands. It doesn't lather up or leave product residue, so it is hard to know how much to use. You leave the product in for 5 minutes and then before rinsing, apply shampoo to the roots and then rinse them together. This makes it easy to incorporate into your washing routine, and it smells divine. It leaves the hair soft and more manageable and I did find that I had less hair fall out when combing through after showering.

Hair seems to be healing and repairing😍
It was a unique experience as I was used tk oiling my hair before taking shower and shampoo....using this pre shampoo is something different yet very easy and interesting way to feed the hair...I feel it makes hair more clean and manageable....I'm feeling immense difference....my hair were falling in bulks literally....while doing hoover I saw just hair and hair everywhere but now it has cut to 20 percent after 3 uses only..

Professional quality
I really love the smell of these products, they look high quality and foam up nicely. The bottle says leave each stage on for 5 minutes before rinsing but I don’t have over 15 minutes in the shower. I found that my hair looks shiny and takes less time to straighten in the mornings. The only down side is I found they dried my hands out after application.

Good product
It's a good product. My hair has been feeling a lot stronger and somehow thicker. I like the fact it doesn't have a string smell. The thing I slightly dislike is the pump bottle as it takes quite a few to get enough of the product out. Other than that impressed with the product, it feels premium.

Effective
I trialled this alongside the shampoo and conditioner of the same Kérastase Première decalcifying anti-rigidity system repair range. I found it very effective and nourishing for my damaged hair. It did not leave any residue and was very easy to use on damp hair for five minutes before shampoo. After application, shampoo is added on top to further benefit hair repair. I found this really helped remove build up on my bleached blonde hair and left it feeling smooth and more manageable with less frizz. This collection contains citric acid and glycine to repair damage. My hair was stronger, smoother and shiner after a few washes. The texture of the product is lovely and it has a delightful scent. Lovely aesthetic packaging with an easy dispensing design that allows you to control the amount of product used. Small amount of product delivers great results.

Does a great job
Comes in a well designed bottle with the customer in mind. Perfect pump top, especially with wet hands. The product itself is thin and easy to apply. It is a little deceiving how much you need to apply as it starts to foam then doesn’t end up foaming at all. My hair felt so much softer and smoother. It works amazing with the shampoo, that would usually tangle my hair up but with the pre-shampoo it’s great!

It's ok but not grate for 4c hair.
I have chemically treated hair, so I usually have two textures of hair in my head, my relaxed hair and my coarse 4c hair. I have followed all the instructions and applied this first before the shampoo, it made my hair extremely dry and knotty, I believe its because of my hair being 4c needs a moisturising serum instead.
