First, you’ll need to prep your skin with a primer (we love the Illamasqua Hydra Veil one), then follow with your fave Illamasqua foundation. Next, swipe some of the contour stick into the hollow of your cheekbone to create a sculpted look. Use a buffing brush to blend it into your skin.

Apply a small amount onto cleansed and moisturised skin with your fingertips, gently massaging it in to blend it out.

Dry skin types will love how the Hydra Veil hydrates and smoothes the skin with its medley of moisturising ingredients, while oily/combination complexions might prefer the smooth, shine-free base of the Matte Veil Primer.

You can find your perfect shade by first identifying your skin tone category (Light, Medium or Dark) which can usually be identified by how your skin reacts to sunlight. Light tends to burn very easily in the sun. Medium will tan in the sun, but if exposed to the sun for a longer time, can burn. And Dark tends to tan easily and will rarely ever burn.

Next it’s time to select your undertone (Gold, Rose or Neutral). Golden is for those with olive undertones, Rose is best-suited for pink undertones, and Neutral is the perfect mix of both.
