But six years later, David, a fashion photographer, and Dean, a businessman, decided to combine their talents and connections to turn their popular photo studio into Smashbox Cosmetics. At the turn of the century, Smashbox launched its most iconic product, the Photo Finish Foundation Primer. Using David Factor’s knowledge of the camera, they were able to create a formula that could resist the shiny spotlights for a flawless finish.
