Brighten skin and target the visible signs of ageing with the Vitamin C Suspension Serum 30% in Silicone from The Ordinary. The waterless antioxidant-packed topical formula remains completely stable due to the absence of water.
Enriched with 30% of Vitamin C in its purest form (L-Ascorbic Acid), the serum helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and discolouration, working best at night when skin is most receptive. The addition of very light silicones allows the serum to effortlessly glide across the skin for a silky-smooth finish.
Free from water, alcohol, oil, nut, gluten and soy.
Vegan. Cruelty-free.
Please Note: The format of this formula is a suspension of very fine L-Ascorbic Acid powder and, as such, provides the most direct exposure of extremely high concentrations of Vitamin C topically. With such format, a very strong tingling but non-irritating sensation is expected during the first 1-2 weeks of use until the skin's tolerance to such high exposure is elevated. If the sensation is too strong to tolerate, the formula can be mixed on each application with other creams or serums of your preference.

Apply to damp skin!!!!
I tend to use this product on its own instead of as part of a routine. When I come home, I cleanse my skin with micellar water to remove SPF and grime, I spritz (this is a VERY important step to ensure the product spreads evenly and doesn’t ‘clag’ up on your skin) and then apply this all over and kind of leave it like a mask for a few hours until I do my proper cleanse and skincare routine in the evening. Don’t be afraid to spritz on top of it after your applied it to spread it around a bit more. It will tingle but this subsides after a few seconds. Along with some other products, it has helped brighten my skin and break up some patchy areas of pigmentation on my forehead.

I tried this searching for my holy grail vit c. A but tingly on application but seems to sit well with other skincare products. Maybe too soon to notice am difference. Not a fan of the smell which lingers. Better alternatives out there

My first vit c
I got this vit c because I read that vit c in silicone doesn't go off. I feels lovely and smooth on the skin, mainly because of the silicone. Not gonna lie, when I apply it to my face it does build up on my finger tips. It's doesn't make my skin sting, just a very, very slight tingle. I use it in the pm, every other night ( the other night I use retinol, with breaks in-between) Due to the build up on my fingers I'm giving it 4 stars.

Difficult to use with other skincare
I love how it leaves your skin, soft and so smooth, but impossible to use with any other serums/skincare treatments as it leaves white pieces that you need to carefully remove with a brush. I bought it twice but won’t purchase again as too annoying

Smell
So as a vitamin c cream, this works well. I can see a difference in my skin with continued use. However, as with a lot of vitamin c creams/serums, there is a smell. My hands, despite washing after use, smelled metallic all the time and they were stained a bronze colour. Only after stopping use for a few weeks did it fade from my hands.
