Great results, too much heat!

After years of using different makes and types of stylers, I must admit this is the best I have tried so far. I bought the Gold Max Styler because I have thick, wavy hair and it's perfect for it. However, it would be interesting to have the chance to control the temperature. The styler gets so hot that you sometimes get the feeling that your hair is burning, even when using products to protect it from the heat.

best ever

I've had various MAX GHD stylers throughout the years, and had been for some time without one because it got stolen! This is my last purchase. It's the best one I've used so far, I don't know how I could have lived without it. Just can't compare it to any other styler in the market. My hair looks perfect all the time. A must-have for everybody!

Thick hair dream!

I bought these as a replacement for my 9 year old slim ghd's as it took forever to get my hair sorted. These thicker stylers are excellent! They get through my long thick hair no problem.

prefer the smaller ones

I bought it to use in addition to my regular size Gold IV ghds as I have quite thick coarse curly hair. The larger size does mean that I can straighten my hair a little more quickly. The plates heat up quickly and stay hot throughout styling. However I don't think for me that I could do without the smaller ones to finish off my hair, as the larger size don't get close to the roots and are a bit cumbersome to use at times.
