The iron’s floating plates utilise Spring-Flex Technology to help cushion the impact of heat styling, resisting clamping as they glide through the strands. The tool’s variable temperature control allows you to choose the setting best suited to your specific hair type, while Predictive Heat Technology ensures even thermal distribution.

For hair that feels stronger, the plates are infused with a mineral duo of sericite and tourmaline, working to prevent the formation of split ends, noticeably minimise frizz and boost shine. Complete with a heat guard and heat-resistant style case.

What size are the plates on the Original Iron?
The Original Iron is made with all hair types in mind. Featuring one-inch wide plates, the tool is great for styling smaller and larger amounts of hair.

How do I know when my Original Iron is ready to use?
When its green light starts flashing and 150°C is illuminated, this means that your iron is ready to go. To switch to a higher temperature, press the temperature control button and wait for the green light to stop at the desired number.

How should I store my Original Iron?
When storing, do not wrap the cord around the iron as this can damage it. Don’t forget to keep the plug away from the plates to minimise the risk of scratching, and only put your iron away when the plates are cool. Use the accompanying heat guard to help protect your surfaces while you wait.

Should the plates touch on my Original Iron?
The Original Iron is specially designed with floating plates that glide over the hair rather than clamping down. This is to minimise damage caused by heated styling; this however does not affect the iron’s performance.

Step 1: Start with dry hair.

Step 2: Shake the CLOUD NINE Magical Quick Dry Potion to activate the lightweight conditioners, then spritz your hair to provide heat protection.

Step 3: Section your hair and secure it with CLOUD NINE Croc Clips.

Step 4: Select your temperature using the temperature control switch below the floating ceramic plates. Style at lower temperatures for optimum hair health.

Step 5: Smooth the Original Iron through each section of your hair from root to tip.

Step 6: Repeat section by section.

Step 7: Brush through your hair to smooth flyaways. The CLOUD NINE Luxury Dressing Brush is perfect for finishing off your style.

cloud nine iron

Hi, I,ve been using GHD irons for years. Thought they were ever so good till mine broke. Ordered cloud nine for a change, but also good reviews and am delighted. My hair is in better condition. Some times my hair is a little dry and on them days I turn down the heat. Then on the bad hair days the temp goes up, and turns into a good hair day and I'm on cloud nine on them days. Must also say, GHD irons left my hair soft and silky, but cloud nine is more healthy, soft and silky and not dry on next hair wash.

Cloud nine iron

I replaced my old straightener with Could Nine iron and could not be more happier of my decision. I like its adjustable heat and it makes my hair shine.

I love it!

I didn't actually think there would be any differences between flat irons, but boy I was wrong! I love Cloud 9. It makes my hair smooth and its easy to use. I was a bit hesitant because it's way more expensive than for example Remington, but after couple of weeks use it has been totally worth it.

Love love love these!

Bought these as my last straightners didn't seem to be doing the job anymore. Was a little unsure about buying these as I've been using my last brand for over 10 years. (Not the same pair for 10 years)! Anyway i'm so glad I bought these, they do a fantastic job! They straighten with just one run over the hair, they don't snag hair and the style lasts. Hair feels in better condition as less straightening is required and at a lower tempature. Wish I had bought these ages ago.

Glossy and straight :-)

These straighteners are fab, they have halved the time my usual GHDs took to straighten my hair and leave it much glossier. If your considering these over GHDs then go for it. Fast delivery from Look fantastic! :-)

This hair straightener is terrific but I don't see much difference between the GHD I had compared to this one. The plates are slightly smoother which makes it easily to glide through the hair. Sometimes it turns off too fast and when turn it back on, it turns itself back off again immediately or drops the heat back down from high to 150. Quick straightening through, I have thin hair but a lot of it but it takes only 5 minutes to straighten it all. cools down fairly fast also.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT

I love these straighteners they're perfect for my mid length, thick but fine hair. I have used GHDs for the past 12 years and agree with another reviewer that my most recent pair of GHDs did not straighten quite as well and ended up snagging on my hair. Cloud nines straighten my naturally curly hair (no snagging) much more quickly and leave it looking shiny. Plus my style holds all day. They also heat up very quickly and have an extra long cable. Much better than GHDs in my opinion and I have been a faithful GHD customer for years. If you register your cloud nine straighteners within 14 days your warranty is extended to 24 months for extra peace of mind. The straighteners come in a presentation box with an instruction booklet, heat guard and thin drawstring carry pouch.

fantastic product

after always owning GHDs i was slightly dubious of ordering these but that was soon proved wrong the first time i used them , they are so much better and having a temperature control is brilliant especially on my hair thats a bit weak. Highly recommended for their style , price and easy to use
